MILESTONES OF THE UNIVERSITY HISTORY

1954 – creation of the Belarusian Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture;

1955 – creation of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization;

1956 – postgraduate studies and correspondence departments were opened;

1957 – the institute was renamed into the Belarusian Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, the Faculty of Agricultural Electrification was created;

1966 – the Faculty of Organization and Technology of Repair of Agricultural Machines was created;

1970 – training of engineers in 5 specializations: “Mechanization of agriculture”, “Mechanization of livestock farming”, “Use of electricity in agriculture”, “Electricity supply in agriculture”, “Organization and technology of repair of agricultural machines”;

1992 – the Belarusian Institute of Agricultural Mechanization was transformed into the Belarusian Agrarian Technical University; 

1994 – creation of the Faculty for preparation and vocational guidance of the youth;

1996 – creation of the Business and Management Faculty;

2000 –  creation of the farm machinery service faculty;

2001 – the official name is the educational establishment “Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University”;

2004 – BSATU was awarded the title of leading university in the industry;

2011 – creation of the Engineering and Technology Faculty;

2011 – creation of the Research Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture;

2016 – an agreement on cooperation in the field of education was signed between educational establishments of BSATU and the government of the Freestate province of South Africa. 28 students from South Africa began studying at BSATU.

2022 – BSATU was awarded the International Business Award «Leader of the Year» for the high level of professional training of specialists for the agro-industrial complex.
